CUH WSOC: Dominican Earns Win against Swords 3-0

Ishii stops seven shots for Swords

Box Score HONOLULU, HI- CUH lost to a tough Dominican University Women's Soccer team 3-0 in a PacWest Conference matchup this afternoon.
 
The Penguins got on the board early as Lauren Gollnick scored in the seventh minute for DUC.  Chaminade stayed close via five saves from freshman goalkeeper Lauren Ishii (Mililani, HI/Mililani) in the first forty-five minutes.  Dominican could not find the net after Gollnick's early goal and CUH trailed 1-0 at the break. The Penguins led the first half shot count 11-2. 
 
DUC extended their lead in the second half with goals in the 64th and 67th minutes of action.  Julianna Bratsberg scored both goals for Dominican (CA).  No goals were scored after Bratsberg's second goal and the Penguins won the conference matchup 3-0.
 
Freshman Twyla Hamasaki (Honolulu, HI/Iolani) led CUH with three shots.
 
Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Ishii (Mililani, HI/Mililani) made seven saves on the match for CUH.
 
The Swords were out-shot 17-7 on the match.  
 
With the loss, the Swords fall to 0-14, 0-12 PWC.  Dominican (CA) moves to 7-6-1, 6-4-1 PWC on the year.  Chaminade is back in action at home against Academy of Art on October 30th.  The match is set for 12:30 PM HT.
