CUH WSOC: Swords Continue Search for Road Win, Fall to CBU 4-0

Ishii makes 9 saves in defeat

Box Score RIVERSIDE, CA- In the second of four road contests on the mainland, Chaminade lost a PacWest Conference matchup to the Lancers of Cal Baptist this afternoon by a score of 4-0.
 
The Lancers got on the offensive early, scoring three goals in the first 17 minutes of action and led 3-0 at the break. CBU out-shot CUH 23-1 in the opening forty-five minutes. 
 
The Lancers Kelly Jenks added the fourth and final goal of the contest (her second of the match) in the 63rd minute for the 4-0 final.
 
Chaminade freshman goalkeeper Lauren Ishii (Mililani, HI/Mililani) stopped 9 shots in goal in an effort to keep the Swords close.  Sophomore Alyssa Nagai (Waipio, HI/Pearl City) had a shot on goal for CUH.  CBU out-shot the Swords 36-2 on the match.  Cal Baptist's Bernadette Witz led all players with 8 shots. 
 
With the defeat, Chaminade moves to (0-9, 0-7 PWC). Cal Baptist moves to (6-2-1, 5-1 PWC).  Chaminade is set to head to Azusa Pacific on October 11th at the Azusa Soccer Complex.  Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM PT.
