CUH WSOC: Swords Drop Opener to Western Oregon 2-0

Ishii stops 10 shots for Chaminade

Box Score HONOLULU, HI- The Swords fell to the Wolves of Western Oregon this afternoon by a score of 2-0.             
 
Chaminade battled early on, holding the Wolves scoreless for the first 20-plus minutes.  The Wolves scored in the 22nd minute with what proved to be the game-winner, as Lindsey Bauman  scored off an assist by Macy Bothman.  Western Oregon won the first half shot count 13-0 and led 1-0 at the half. 
 
The Wolves added another goal in the second half and won the contest 2-0.  Chaminade's offense improved in the second half, tallying three shots, two on goal.
 
Freshman Lauren Ishii (Mililani, HI/Mililani) stopped 10 shots for CUH.  The Swords were out-shot 17-3 on the match.  
 
With the loss, the Swords fall to 0-1.  Western Oregon moves to 2-1 on the year.
