WSOC: Swords Fall to Point Loma

Box Score SAN DIEGO – The Chaminade women's soccer team fell, 4-0, to Point Loma at a Pacific West Conference match on Thursday. The loss dropped the Silverswords to 0-7 on the season and 0-3 in the conference. The Sea Lions remained unbeaten in league play at 4-0-1, while improving to 5-3-1 overall.
 
PLNU opened the scoring a minute into the contest on a goal by Dottie Rhoten. Rhoten added her second goal of the game three minutes later, making it 2-0. The Sea Lions netted two more goals in the second half to increase their lead to 4-0 at the end of the first 45 minutes.
 
The Swords however, tightened up their defense, allowing Point Loma to go scoreless in the second half.
 
CUH managed to play a relatively clean game with only one foul and no cautions called against them.
 
The Silverswords continue their Southern California road swing on Saturday when they face Azusa Pacific. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. PDT.
