Box Score FRESNO, Calif. – The Chaminade women's volleyball team continued their trek through California Friday, but came away empty-handed, suffering a 25-16, 25-17, 25-16 setback to 21st-ranked Fresno Pacific.
The Silverswords fell to 4-7 overall and 1-5 in the Pacific West Conference, while the Sunbirds improved to 8-5 and 3-3.
The Swords got a team-high 13 kills and seven digs from
Kim Spring, while
Brenda Walker tallied 12 digs and
Daniella Montoya and
Valentina Bevilacqua combined for 25 assists. Montoya also collected nine digs. Rupia Inck led Fresno Pacific with 14 kills.
Chaminade could never gain any traction, hitting .018 for the match with a season-high 26 attacking errors. The Swords hit negative-.050 in the first, .108 in the second and zero in the third. CUH did manage 42 digs, tying a season-high in three-set matches.
The Swords return to the floor on Sunday when they face Holy Names in Oakland, Calif., at 7 p.m. PDT.
