Box Score HONOLULU – Oh so close, yet so far. In the season finale for the Chaminade women's soccer team, just 10 days removed off a ground-breaking win, the Silverswords took in-city rival Hawai'i Pacific to the limit before falling in overtime, 1-0, in a Pacific West Conference game at St. Louis Field.
Tiffany Cabreros' header found the back of the net five minutes into the extra session, ending the Swords' season at 1-15 overall and 1-11 in the PacWest. HPU finished 7-8-2 and 5-5-2.
Goalkeeper
Lauren Ishii, who ranks seventh in the NCAA in saves per game (8.33) made 14, giving her 139 on the year, assuring her of the total saves crown in the PacWest.
The Swords also celebrated the collegiate careers of seniors
Jill Hara,
Shayla Hosaka,
Kristy Iwahashi and
Kristen Tatemichi. Hosaka, Iwahashi and Tatemichi each played in their final games, while Hara, who was out with an injury, served as honorary coach.
