HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team dropped a tough five-set decision to Dominican University of California, 25-20, 19-25, 13-25, 25-12, 15-8, Wednesday at McCabe Gym.
Emma Tecklenburg recorded her first career double-double with match-high 12 kills and a season-high 11 digs for the Silverswords who fell to 9-10 overall and 3-7 in the Pacific West Conference.
Kira Long and
Kim Spring each added 10 kills for Chaminade while
Daisia LaBrie had eight and five total blocks.
Ku`ulei Lynch set season-highs in kills (7) and total blocks (5). Meanwhile Spring continued to inch up the school's career kills list, putting her just 12 shy of 1,000 in her career.
The Penguins (13-6, 9-2 PacWest) were paced by Aimee Steinwand and Brittany Latigue who both had 11 kills.
Natashya Enos tallied her team-high seventh double-double for the season with 22 assists and 13 digs.
Waihilo Chartrand and
Skyler Curry both had 12 digs for the 'Swords, whose 79 digs is a season-high.
