’Swords Blank Vulcans for Season’s Third Win

KEA'AU, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University men's soccer team got two first-half goals on-route to a 2-0 win over Hawai'i Hilo Thursday at the Kamehameha-Hawai'i School's Paiea Stadium.
 
Jaewon Huh scored his first career goal just over three minutes into the game to open the scoring. The Silverswords then got an own goal in the 27th minute to put them up by two scores.
 
Bernd Buescherhoff made four saves in picking up the win, adding on to his already school-record seventh career win.
 
Joshua Jasper took the loss for the Vulcans who fell to 1-7-1 overall and 0-4-1 in the Pacific West Conference.
 
The 'Swords improved to 3-4 and 3-2.
 
Chaminade returns to Saint Louis Field Monday to face California Baptist at 1 p.m.
