LAIE, O'ahu, Hawai'i – The Chaminade University women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision Tuesday to BYU-Hawai'i in a non-conference game at BYUH Soccer Field.
The Seasiders (1-2-1) scored twice in the second half to deny the Silverswords who are still seeking their first-ever victory against their rivals from the North Shore.
Sophomore
Caitlin Tatemichi scored her first career goal in defeat for Chaminade which fell to 0-2 on the year.
Tatemichi's score came in the 18
th minute off a pass from
Kelli Fryxell who recorded her first career assist.
Chaminade held a 1-0 lead at the break but the Seasiders rallied. Mackenzie Bean knotted the game with a goal in the 54
th minute, then 90 seconds later, the 'Swords were called for a foul in the box. Brena Jarvis Love's subsequent penalty kick gave BYUH the 2-1 advantage.
The Silverswords could not get off a shot down the stretch as the Seasiders held on for the win.

Brandee Lane made five saves in taking the loss to fall to 0-2.
The Silverswords resume action Saturday when they face Hawai'i Hilo at the Kamehameha-Hawai'i campus on the Big Island.
