SAN DIEGO – The Chaminade University women's soccer team reached the halfway point of their current road trip, dropping a 3-0 decision to Point Loma Monday at the PLNU Soccer/Track Complex.
The Silverswords took five shots, two on-goal.
Cailla Fabro (Waipahu, Hawai'i/Idaho State) took two of Chaminade's shots while
Bianca Gonzales (Kapolei, Hawai'i/Kapolei),
Brianna Hernandez (Islip, N.Y./Iona College) and
Cami Keli'inui (Ewa Beach, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Kapalama) each had one shot attempt.
The Sea Lions (4-5-1 overall, 3-3 PacWest) scored twice in the match's first 13 minutes with the combination of Abbey Teagle to Ashlee Watkins striking both times.
Despite trailing 3-0 at the half, the 'Swords (3-6, 2-4 PacWest) managed to keep Point Loma off the scoreboard in the final 45 minutes.
Brandee Lane (Kaneohe, Hawai'i/Castle) made eight saves while her counterpart, Brianna Lindell, made two.
The Silverswords' road jaunt continues Thursday at California Baptist.
