LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Chaminade University women's volleyball team continued their trip through the Southern California portion of their schedule but couldn't overcome Biola University, falling 23-25, 25-16, 25-23, 23-25, 15-12 at Chase Gymnasium.

Kira Long (Vista, Calif./Rancho Buena Vista) contributed with a season-high 15 kills, followed by
Brooke Bell (Escondido, Calif./North Idaho College) who had 10.

Tecklenburg added five digs and two service aces to her stat line while
Danielle Wiley (Peoria, Ariz./Centennial) and
Skyler Curry (Thousand Oaks, Calif./Westlake) combined for 54 assists with Wiley getting 30.
Meanwhile
Nina Torio (Mililani, Hawai'i/Mililani) matched her season-high of 18 digs with Wiley and

While Chaminade led in kills (66-58), assists (62-54), aces (5-4) and points (75-72), Biola's block proved to be one of the match's biggest factors. The Eagles out-blocked the 'Swords, 10-4, and forced them to hit .168 on the night while hitting .268 themselves.
The Silverswords will have two nationally-ranked foes to close out their road trip with No. 6 California Baptist on Wednesday and 25
th-ranked Azusa Pacific the following day.
