AZUSA, Calif. – The Chaminade University women's soccer team ended their first road trip of the year with a 4-0 loss at Azusa Pacific Saturday.
The Silverswords fell to 1-4 and 0-2 in the Pacific West Conference while the Cougars improved to 2-3 and 2-0.
Caitlin Tatemichi (Honolulu/Roosevelt) attempted three shots for the 'Swords while
Bree Chang (Aloha, Ore./Aloha) and
Cami Keli'inui (Ewa Beach, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Kapalama) each took one.
Brandee Lane (Kaneohe, Hawai'i/Castle) made eight saves Chaminade. Zoey Bauman got the win for APU.
After the Cougars got on the board just seven minutes into the contest, the 'Swords defense kept the match at a one-goal differential but APU scored three times in the final 38 minutes.
The Silverswords return home to the pitch on Thursday when they host Holy Names at Saint Louis Field with kickoff set for 10 a.m.
