SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Chaminade University men's soccer team opened their first mainland road trip of the year on Friday with a 2-0 loss to Dominican University of California at Kennelly Field.
Wilson Briggs scored both Penguin goals, each coming towards the end of each half (49 seconds remaining in the first half, 7:02 left in the second).
The loss snapped the Silverswords two-match win streak, dropping them to 2-3 overall and 1-2 in the PacWest.
Michael Stafford (Honolulu/Iowa Western CC/Kalani HS) made three saves in taking the loss. William Finnie had four stops for Dominican (4-4-2, 1-1-1 PacWest).
Reece Hambly (Birmingham, England/Scottsdale CC/Hagley HS) attempted two of Chaminade's eight shots.
Tyler Ebisuya (Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Iolani) while brothers
Micah Mokulehua (Waimanalo, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Kaiser) and
Noah Mokulehua (Waimanalo, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Kaiser) attempted one shot on-goal each.
The Silverswords conclude their short two-match road trip Sunday at Notre Dame de Namur.
