However, Minot State (0-3), out of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference that owns nine of the last 12 Division II national championships, regathered itself and led most of the second set. Down 20-17, the 'Swords forced five attacking error which was part of a set-ending 8-1 run. Rae Montrose (Cedar Hills, Utah/Lone Peak) had two block assists during the stretch to help Chaminade to a 2-0 advantage.

In the third set, the Silverswords built an early five-point lead and never looked back with a convincing third-set victory which completed the sweep.

With the four matches behind them, the Silverswords can now look ahead to next weekend when they travel to Pomona, Calif., for the D2 West Region Volleyball Showcase for two matches which have certainly been circled on the team's calendar.

On Friday afternoon, the 'Swords face Western Washington, the third-ranked squad in Division II and the national runners-up in 2018. Then in the evening session, they face host Cal Poly Pomona, currently ranked No. 20 in the nation.

The 'Swords wrap up the Showcase on Saturday against Seattle Pacific and Cal State Monterey Bay.
