Women’s Tennis Wraps up Home Slate vs. Portland State

HONOLULU – Fresh of their road trip to Northern California, the Chaminade University women's tennis team played their final home match of 2023 on Friday, dropping a 7-0 decision to Division I Portland State at the Donald Andrews Diamond Head Tennis Courts.
 
The Vikings won all three doubles matches, taking the lone point in the duo competition.

Playing in her final home match, senior Emily Ramirez Miranda (Honolulu/Kaiser) was the only Silversword to take multiple games off her opponent in a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Maddie Egan in No. 5 singles.
 
Molly Cookman (Racine, Wis./Prairie), Berylin Lau (Wailuku, Maui, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Maui) and Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) managed to take single games off their respective opponents.
 
The 'Swords will travel to the Big Island to face Hawai'i Hilo in a pair of matches Saturday at the UH Hilo Tennis Courts.
