HONOLULU – The Chaminade University men's soccer team opened the exhibition portion of their schedule Monday with a 1-0 defeat to Multnomah at Saint Louis Field.
The Silverswords, who are in just their second week of organized practices, used most of their healthy players in what was essentially a glorified practice with multiple and unlimited substitutions throughout the full 90 minutes.
Both Chaminade goalkeepers,
Brandon Yasue and
Jonah Valmonte, a Robert Morris University transfer, saw extensive time protecting the 'Swords' net.
The Lions had the only score of the game, coming in the 84th minute from Paul Einero.
The 'Swords have one more exhibition contest, Wednesday, Aug. 30, against Lincoln University, set for 10 a.m. at Saint Louis Field.
