HONOLULU – The Chaminade University men's soccer team wrapped up exhibition action Wednesday with a 2-1 win over Lincoln University at Saint Louis Field.
The Silverswords relinquished the first goal in the 28th minute but evened it on a
Ryan Anderson score with three minutes left in the first half which was assisted by
La'akea Gonsalves.
David Kurihara got the game winner with a goal in the 66th minute.
Brandon Yasue started in goal for the 'Swords while
Jonah Valmonte played the final 45 minutes to pick up the win.
With their two exhibition games behind them, the Silverswords will turn their attention to the part of the schedule which now counts with the season opener on Saturday. The 'Swords will face Northwest Nazarene, ranked No. 6 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll. Kickoff at Saint Louis Field is set for 10 a.m.
