HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's tennis team concluded the home portion of their schedule on Saturday with a 7-0 defeat to the University of Hawai'i Hilo at the Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Tennis Courts.
The Vulcans (6-9) captured both doubles matches to earn the point.
In singles, senior
Kylie Ye (Laie, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Asia Pacific International School), playing in her final home match, took a game in both sets in Court 1 against McKenna Mountain, ranked No. 41 nationally in the ITA Division II rankings.
Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) managed two games off Marie Cordonnier in a 6-2, 6-0 loss at the No. 4 spot.
Isabella Minaudo (Honolulu/Hawai'i Technology Academy) captured a game in the second set from Akari Ichikawa in No. 3 singles.
Chaminade (0-11) faces Division I Portland State University later on Saturday, a last-second addition to the schedule.
