HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's tennis team on Tuesday concluded their season-opening five-match home stand by dropping a 7-0 decision to Southern New Hampshire University at the Donald A. Andrews Diamond Head Tennis Center.
 
The Penmen earned the doubles point to start the day with wins in the Nos. 2 and 3 spots. In the top doubles matchup, 
Isabella Minaudo (Honolulu/Hawai'i Technology Academy) and 
Kylie Ye (Laie, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Asia Pacific International School) managed to take two games from the regionally ranked team of Dajana Abadzic and Zuza Krygier in their 6-2 loss. Abadzic and Krygier are the No. 10 ranked doubles team in the ITA Division II East Region rankings.
 
In singles action, Ye put up a battle in the top spot against Justina Haver before falling 6-1, 6-3. Minaudo also managed a point in No. 2 singles against Abadzic.
 
The Silverswords (0-5) will make their only mainland trip of the season, a four-match swing beginning Tuesday, March 18 at Academy of Art.
