Five members of the Chaminade University baseball team on Tuesday were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

Jackson Dorn (Happy Valley, Ore./Mt. Hood CC/Clackamas HS),
Alex Greb (Seattle/Wenatchee Valley College/Ballard HS),
Jake Harper (San Pedro, Calif./El Camino College/San Pedro HS),
Andrew Karns (Coeur d'Alene, Idaho/Coeur d'Alene) and
Xavier Stoker (Cedar City, Utah/College of the Canyons//Canyon View HS) were recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom.

Dorn started 41 games in right field for the Silverswords, finishing second on the team with a .286 batting average, drove in 21 runs and led all 'Swords outfielders with 38 base hits. He carries a 3.77 grade-point average in Sport & Event Management

Greb, a junior college transfer, was the Silverswords' designated hitter in the early stages of the season but towards the end, made his final 10 starts of the year in left field. The Data Science major, who has a 4.00 GPA, had 17 RBI and 15 runs.

Despite an injury early in the season, Harper returned to the diamond, splitting time in both left and center field, and hit .271 with 26 runs. The senior Business Administration major had a 3.55 GPA.

Karns, who has a 3.60 GPA in Chemistry, made 23 starts at second base and 14 as the DH, hitting .280 on the season.

Stoker made nine starts on the mound in 13 appearances with two wins, leading the 'Swords in innings (49.1) and strikeouts (37). The senior graduated from Chaminade with a 3.95 GPA in Business Administration.

To be recognized on the Academic All-District team, candidates must be a sophomore both academically and athletically, have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 and have played in either 90 percent or have started in 66 percent of their team's contests. Pitchers must have a minimum 17 appearances or 35.0 innings pitched.

Institutions can nominate up to five candidates for Academic All-District honors.

The Division II CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II Academic All-America® programs.
