CARMEL, Calif. – The Chaminade University men's golf team concluded their first tournament of the non-championship fall segment Tuesday with a seventh-place finish at the RCA Electric Invitational at the par-71, 6,393-yard Quail Lodge Golf Course, hosted by Menlo College.

The Silverswords, who feature just one regular returnee for the 2025-26 season, shot a 611, led by freshman J.J. Hutchins (Los Angeles/Huntington Beach) who fired an 11-over-par 224, tied for 23rd overall. Fellow freshmen Cody Dao (Henderson, Nev./Liberty) and Chance Wilson (Princeville, Kaua'i, Hawai'i/Enlightium Academy) were just a shot back at 12-over.

Tanner Capik (Los Angeles/Beverly Hills), who was on the team last season but did not have any qualifying scores, shot a 244 in his first-ever tournament. A.J. Dahlk (Centerport, N.Y./Harborfields), the 'Swords' lone returnee who saw regular tournament action in 2024-25 and competing in the RCA field, had a 245.

The Silverswords will participate in a pair of tournaments in the islands next, first in the annual Dennis Rose Intercollegiate from Oct. 20-21 on the Big Island, then the HPU Sharks Invitational at Pearl Country Club from Oct. 24-25.
