HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's basketball team got a career-tying performance on the glass on Saturday but it wasn't enough for the Silverswords who dropped an 80-57 decision to Jessup University at McCabe Gymnasium.
Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) grabbed 15 rebounds, tying the career high she set as a freshman in February 2023, which is also tied for the eighth highest in program history.
Holly Dolny (Melbourne, Australia/Loyola University Chicago/Heathdale Christian College) had a team-high 15 points while
Alyssa Schuetze (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) had 10.
In addition to her rebounding total, Buttery also added nine points including a pair of 3-pointers, giving her 29 on the season.
Kylie Squier (Branchville, N.J./Pope John XXIII Regional) also had nine in the point column with
Julien Parado (Ewa Beach, O'ahu, Hawai'i/Campbell) dishing out three assists.
Hailey Hoff had 26 points for the Warriors (7-18, 5-14 Pacific West Conference).
Chaminade shot 37 percent from the floor with seven triples, 10 free throws, 40 rebounds and 11 assists. They also held Jessup to no second-chance points.
The Warriors shot at a 48.5 percent clip with 14 treys, 28 rebounds and 21 assists.
The Silverswords (0-21, 0-17 PacWest) face Azusa Pacific on Tuesday. Tipoff at McCabe Gym is at 5:30 p.m.
