LA MIRADA, Calif. – The Chaminade University women's basketball team completed their three-game Southern California road trip Monday with a 79-39 loss to Biola University at Chase Gymnasium.
Alyssa Schuetze (Temecula, Calif./Great Oak) had a team-high 13 points and six rebounds for the Silverswords.
Selena Buttery (Brockway, Pa./Brockway) and
Ashley Holen (Watford City, N.D./Minot State University/Watford City HS) each chipped in with eight each followed by
Kylie Squier's (Branchville, N.J./Pope John XXIII Regional) six.
Hanne Nybo led the Eagles (11-8, 8-6 Pacific West Conference) with 14 points.
Chaminade (0-17, 0-13 PacWest) shot 22.9 percent from the field and made 14 of its 18 free throws while hauling in 30 rebounds.
Biola shot 51.8 from the floor, sank 13 3-pointers and had 40 boards and 23 assists.
The Silverswords return for their final five home dates starting Saturday with intercity rival Hawai'i Pacific University at McCabe Gymnasium with several in-game promotions for CUH students to win a variety of prizes. Tipoff is at 2 p.m.
