TURLOCK, Calif. – The Chaminade University women's tennis team on Monday faced off against Pacific West Conference affiliate member Stanislaus State at the Stan State Tennis Courts.
The Silverswords ended up on the short end of the 7-0 decision to the Warriors.
The 'Swords fell in their first two doubles matches while the No. 3 squad of
Carine Bleasdell (Kihei, Maui, Hawai'i/Hawai'i Technology Academy) and
Danica Palmer (Philadelphia/Upper Merion Area) managed to get a game before the match up was halted to 4-1 when Stanislaus State clinched the doubles point.
Hannah Lewis (Burbank, Calif./John Burroughs) and
Isabella Minaudo (Honolulu/Hawai'i Technology Academy) were able to take a game in their respective matches in singles at No. 1 and 3, respectively.
Chaminade's most competitive match was at the second spot where
Berylin Lau (Wailuku, Maui, Hawai'i/Kamehameha-Maui) came close to forcing a third set before falling 6-1, 6-4 to Emma Yu.
The Silverswords' road trip concludes Tuesday at Dominican University of California.
