Joe Gross is in his second season with the Silversword Men’s Soccer Team. Prior to his involvement with Chaminade University, Joe competed for the Falcons of the University of Montevallo. During his time at Montevallo, the Falcons competed in the NCAA Division II Soccer Tournament three times: 2006, 2007, and 2008. In 2007, along with a South Region Championship, he was able to help his team reach the NCAA National Final Four. In addition to that success in 2007, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America ranked Montevallo fourth in the final postseason national poll. Joe was a member of the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll in each year of competition, and, in 2009, was awarded a position in the exclusive Chi Alpha Sigma Society, a national college athlete honor society, for excelling in the classroom and on the field of competition. While competing, Joe was able to obtain a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Montevallo.
Joe joins the Chaminade University athletic family from his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Along with coaching, Joe is working on obtaining a Master’s Degree from Chaminade University in Special Education.
