The 2018 season is the second for Keoki Haole as an assistant coach for the Chaminade University men's soccer team.
The 2007 Kapolei High School graduate is currently the head coach for the Hawai'i Surf Soccer Club 2000B (U17). Prior to his current assignment, he coached at his alma mater for five years including a stint as the Hurricanes' junior varsity head coach in 2016-17 with the previous four years as an assistant for the varsity team.
Haole was a three-time first team all-state player after a standout career at Kapolei, leading the Hurricanes to the 2007 O'ahu Interscholastic Association championship his senior season, garnering all-purpose Player of the Year honors. He turned his high school success into a spot with Division I soccer power SMU in Dallas, which at the time, was ranked the No. 1 team in the nation. He later received a tryout to the Puerto Rico Islanders professional men's soccer team in 2009.
Even before high school, Haole was a standout on the pitch as a four-time Olympic Development Program (ODP) Region IV Team Player and was twice on the U.S. National Player Pool (U-18, 2006; U-14, 2000).
Haole is currently an Applied Behavior Analyst for the Special Education Center of Hawai'i (SECOH).
