Eddie Kealoha joined the Chaminade University softball team in the summer of 2025. He serves as the hitting and infield coach and is also the lead assistant to head coach Kent Yamaguchi.

Kealoha, who is also known for his exploits as a slotback for the University of Hawai'i football team in the 1990s, began coaching softball as an assistant at St. Francis High School between 2012-18, helping the team capture the 2018 HHSAA Division II state title. The following year, he took over as the first head coach at Damien High School which fielded its first softball team until 2024. During his six years at Damien, Kealoha was a two-time Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II Coach of the Year (2023, '24).

A four-year football letterwinner at Hawai'i, Kealoha helped the Rainbow Warriors capture their first Western Athletic Conference championship in 1992, a berth in the Holiday Bowl where they defeated the University of Illinois for the program's first-ever major bowl win. Among his other achievements were scoring multiple touchdowns against major powers Notre Dame (1991) and Pittsburgh (1992).

Kealoha is a 1988 graduate of Iolani School in Honolulu, playing for legendary football coach Eddie Hamada.
