Sara Souza joined the Chaminade University softball team in the summer of 2025 and oversees the pitching staff.

Souza graduated from the University of Hawai'i Hilo with a Bachelor's of Art degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Before joining the Vulcans softball team, she played softball at Central Arizona College, a year after graduating from Sacred Hearts Academy in 2011.

After completing her degree, Souza moved back to O'ahu and earned her Master's of Science in Athletic Training.

The past few years saw her coach club softball including at Kaikamahine and the Hurricanes. She also joined her high school alma mater as an assistant coach in 2021 and was elevated as the Lancers' head coach in 2023. Two years later, Souza was named the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II Coach of the Year.

Souza has been teaching science at Saint Louis School, which Chaminade shares the Kalaepohuaku campus with, since 2018.
