Dianna Zane is in her second year as assistant coach for the Chaminade University women's basketball team during the 2016-17 season. A certified yoga instructor, myofascial massage therapist and strength and conditioning coach, she will be coordinating the team's strength and conditioning routines, nutrition and instructions for a healthier lifestyle. She will also be working on individual development with team members.
Zane is a Chaminade alumna, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Humanities in Spring 2014 and was honored as the Outstanding Graduate in Humanities during commencement exercises. On the court, the Honolulu native played two years for current Silverswords head coach Bobby Keanini at Chaminade and entering the 2015-16 season, ranks fifth in program history in both career assists (115) and free throw percentage (77.6 percent, 118-of-152). She also ranks among the program's career top-10 leaders in field goal percentage and steals. Zane received Pacific West Conference honorable mention honors in her junior season, her first as a Silversword.
Before arriving at Chaminade, she attended UNLV for two years but an injury prompted her to return home.
A 2008 graduate of Roosevelt High School in Honolulu, Zane played for Keanini at the school where she was a four-year varsity starter. She earned O'ahu Interscholastic Association First Team honors and was a Honolulu Star-Bulletin Fab-15 selection her senior year for the Rough Riders.
In her free time, she enjoys training and competes in fitness competitions.
