Fall 2021 (Freshman):  Academic All-PacWest ... played 12 matches and 22 sets in four starts … helped Silverswords win first Pacific West Conference title since 1996 with a program-record 27 wins and a berth in the NCAA West Regional … also helped them achieve first AVCA national ranking since 2005 … totaled 24 kills (1.09 average) and 17 total blocks (0.77 average) with six block solos while hitting .207 … in first career start (Oct. 9 vs. Biola), set career-highs with six kills and five blocks (three solo) … matched kills mark vs. Dominican (Oct. 15).

Spring 2021:  Did not compete.

Prep:  A 2020 graduate of Valencia High in Valencia, Calif. … named All-Foothill League First Team at outside hitter as a senior … earned second team all-league honors as middle blocker in sophomore season then moved to middle blocker as a junior … played for Legacy Volleyball Club.
 
Personal:  Parents are Chris and Jill Grodell … has an older brother, Tyler … major is Biochemistry … did gymnastics as youth until a growth spurt caused her to be six inches taller than the other gymnasts … her mother convinced her to try out for volleyball and ended up falling in love with the sport … loves reading in her free time … favorite books are “Educated” and “Looking for Alaska.”
