Chaminade Men’s Soccer Downed by BYU-Hawaii 2-1

Keenan Ho scores for Swords

Honolulu, HI- In the follow-up to September 13th's 2-1 Chaminade win, the Seasiders matched the Swords with a 2-1 victory today at St. Louis field. 

 

The Seasiders led the way offensively in the first half, forcing three saves by Chaminade goalkeeper Kris Lounsbury in the opening 45 minutes.  CUH held and went into the break knotted with the Seasiders 0-0.

 

The second half saw the Silverswords offense go on the attack.  Keenan Ho's goal, a rebound off a Chad Thompson shot, put CUH up 1-0.

 

BYU-Hawaii answered with a penalty kick goal in the 79th minute and added the game winner by Adam Maciejewski in the 82nd minute. 

 

BYU-Hawaii out-shot the Swords 20-9.

 

The Swords were led offensively by Ehren Ching with two shots on goal. 

 

Chaminade moves to 1-9-1 on the year with the loss.  The Seasiders go to 2-7-1 with the win.  The Swords are back in action on October 9th vs. UH-Hilo in Hilo, HI.  Game time is set for 6:00 PM HT.
