Final Stats
Anchorage, AK- Beating a team four times is not easy, as BYU-Hawaii proved today, defeating the Swords for the first time this year to advance to the NCAA West Region Finals on Monday.
Chaminade struggled early, turning the ball over 10 times and shooting just 25% from the field in the first half, including 0-6 from three. BYU-Hawaii took advantage, taking a 36-22 lead into the break.
The Swords crept back in, courtesy of a 23-8 run to cut the lead to eight at 58-50 with 9:05 to go. A loose ball technical curbed the Sword momentum and the Seasiders went on a 15-0 run to claim victory.
The Swords were led by Mike Green's 17 points. Marko Kolaric added 9 points and 12 rebounds. Hayden Heiber and Rodrick Johnson each added 13 points in defeat.
CUH ends the season with 21 wins the most in school history.
