Chaminade Men’s Soccer Falls to NDNU 5-0

Lounsbury leads with ten saves

Belmont, CA- NDNU took a very competitive game and broke it open in the second half for a 5-0 win over the Silverswords of Chaminade.

 

The Swords defense was stout early on, as Kris Lounsbury made ten saves for Chaminade.  Several near goals were sent back by the freshman goalkeeper in the first half.  The game went to the break 0-0. 

 

NDNU put five goals on the board in the second half, led by Arturo Gomez who had two goals on the afternoon. 

 

The Swords were led offensively by Keenan Ho with one shot on goal. 

 

Sheldon Steenhuis made three saves for the Argos.   

 

Chaminade moves to 1-6-1 on the year with the loss.  NDNU moves to 4-2-1 with the win.  The Swords are back in action on September 25th vs. Grand Canyon in Phoenix, AZ.  Game time is set for 7:30 PM MT.
