Chaminade Women’s Volleyball Falls in Heartbreaker to Northwest Nazarene 3-2

Ellensburg, WA- Chaminade fell just short of getting a much needed win today, falling to NNU in five games, 25-15, 15-25, 25-22, 17-25, 9-15.

 

Trina Kauliakamoa led Chaminade with 13 kills and 17 digs on the match.  Sophomore Pisila Tukia continued her solid start, adding 8 kills and a .316 hitting percentage.  Junior Courtney Lorusso had 13 kills to go along with 16 digs for CUH.  Defensive specialist Chauntelle Maduli added 31 digs on the match.

 

Cammy Draginis led the Crusaders with 15 kills. 

 

The Silverswords were outhit .152 to .128, but won the defensive battle, out-digging NNU 97-89.

 

The Swords look to bounce back today as they are back in action tonight in Ellensburg, WA to face St. Mary's.  With the loss to NNU, Chaminade falls to 1-4 on the year.  Northwest Nazarene moves to 3-2.
