Swords Volleyball Taken Down in Three Games by Central Washington

Kauliakamoa has 16 kills and 9 digs in defeat

Ellensburg, WA- Central Washington proved to be a tough opponent this evening, improving to 6-1, as the defeated Chaminade in three games, 25-18, 25-18 and 25-16. The Wildcats took the match at the net, winning the blocking battle 17-9. CWU was strong on attack, hitting .283 on the match, while the Swords hit .108. Trina Kauliakamoa, the Pac West Preseason Player of the Year was stellar in defeat, managing 16 kills along with 9 digs. Vanja Radanovic added 7 kills and 3 blocks on the evening. The Swords managed 48 digs to Central Washington’s 55. Sophomore setter Tanya Alvino led with 30 assists for CUH. Kristy Inamasu and Chauntelle Maduli each added 10 digs. Erin Norris led Central Washington with 11 kills (.429 percentage). Chaminade will look to rebound tomorrow with two matches. The first mach starts at 10 AM PT against St. Mary’s. With the defeat, CUH falls to 1-5 on the year.
