Chaminade Women’s Volleyball Back on Winning Track defeating St. Mary’s 3-0

Ellensburg, WA- Chaminade got a much needed win this morning, defeating the Rattlers of St. Mary's 3-0 to notch their second win of the season.  Senior standout, Trina Kauliakamoa was again impressive, notching 16 kills to go along with 9 digs in the win.  Plenty of support was shown, with Courtney Lorusso adding a double-double with 10 kills and 12 digs and Chauntelle Maduli added 25 digs in the sweep.

 

Sophomores Samantha Miller and Tanya Alvino also provided a much needed lift.  Alvino ran the offense with 31 assists to go along with 10 digs and Miller added 6 kills and 12 digs. 

 

Katelyn Kershner led St. Mary's with 7 kills. 

 

The Silverswords outhit St. Mary's .189 to .090, and won the defensive battle, out-digging the Rattlers 75-57.

 

The Swords look to make it a win streak as they are back in action tonight (5PM PT) in Ellensburg, WA to face St. Martin's.  With the win, Chaminade moves to 2-5 on the year.
