Honolulu, HI- Chaminade took on the Seasiders of BYU-Hawaii this afternoon at St. Louis Field and fell by a score of 4-1.
The Seasiders got the scoring going in the 11th minute with a goal from Sam Akinaka. Jared Trussell added a second goal in the 45th minute for a 2-0 BYU-Hawaii halftime lead.
Two Seasider goals early in the second half put BYU-Hawaii out in front for good at 4-0.
The Swords continued to compete as Keenan Ho (Honolulu, HI/St. Louis) earned a penalty kick and scored the PK to make it 4-1 in the 66th minute.
Chad Thompson (Waimea, HI/Waimea) took 3 shots for CUH. Brandon Salvador (Pearl City, HI/Pearl City) was productive for Chaminade, taking 5 shots.
Daniel Dartt (Leilehua, HI/Leilehua) stopped four shots for the Swords. Chaminade won the shot total 13-8.
With the loss, Chaminade moves to 3-13. BYU-Hawaii improves to 8-8-1. Chaminade is set to play another Pac West conference match on November 7th at Hawaii-Hilo. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM HT.
