Laie, HI- A week after their eight-goal match in Hilo, the Swords and Seasiders played another highly competitive match, this time on Oahu’s North Shore.
BYU-Hawaii got on the board first with Adam Maciejewski scoring in the 23rd minute for the Seasiders. The game went to that half 1-0 BYU-Hawaii.
Chris Wood added BYU-Hawaii’s second goal in the 60th minute for a 2-0 lead. Chaminade answered back, as Chad Thompson notched his 3rd goal of the year in the 79th minute to make it a 2-1 final.
William West tallied the assist for CUH, his third of the 2009 campaign.
Darren Smith stopped 5 shots in goal for Chaminade. The Seasiders out-shot CUH 14-8.
The Swords move to 1-3 on the year with the loss. BYU-Hawaii improves to 2-2. Chaminade is back in action on September 26th at HPU. The game will be played at Atherton Field at 3 PM HT.
