San Francisco, CA- In the second match of the day, Chaminade fell to the Otters of Cal State Monterey Bay in four games 25-27, 25-20, 25-16, 25-18.
Chaminade started off quickly taking the first game 27-25. The Otters took control from there, winning three straight to earn the win.

Courtney Lorusso (Los Angeles, CA/Glendora) led the way with thirteen kills for Chaminade. Junior
Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) added 35 assists.
The Otters out-hit Chaminade .317 to .127. Digs were even at 58-58.
Cal State Monterey Bay was led by Elizabeth Hanna with 21 kills.
Kristy Inamasu added 18 digs for Chaminade.
The Swords move to 1-4 on the year, while Cal State Monterey Bay improves to 3-2. Chaminade is back in action twice on Saturday, September 5th, facing Chico State at 11:30 AM PT and San Francisco State in the evening (7 PM PT).
