HONOLULU, HI- The Swords Volleyball team fell to the Sea Warriors of HPU in three sets (19-25, 23-25, 19-25) tonight at St. Andrew's Priory.
Sword junior Poerava Gantt (Kapaa, HI/Kapaa) had 11 kills and 11 digs in defeat.
Senior setter Tanya Alvino (Brentwood, CA/Liberty) had 27 assists and 19 digs for the Swords.
CUH lost a close dig battle 70-71. The Sea Warriors out-hit the Swords .193 to .121. Hawaii Pacific won the block battle 8-7. Junior Kristy Inamasu (Kahului, HI/Maui) added 16 digs for Chaminade.
HPU was led by Kelly Balanay with 11 kills.
With the loss, Chaminade moves to 4-12, 1-8 in the PWC. HPU moves to 12-4, 6-3 in the PWC. The Swords look to rebound against Dominican on Tuesday, October 26th at 7:00 PM HT at McCabe Gym.
