Honolulu, HI- BYU-Hawaii got out to the lead early today on a penalty kick goal by Viktor Bezhani in the eight minute of action. The match remained 1-0 at the half.

The Seasiders offense awoke again in the early stages of the second half as Bezhani added another goal in the 56th minute and in the 57th minute, Aaron Drewery made the score 3-0 BYU-Hawaii. The match looked as though it was decided, but no one told the Silverswords who showed a lot of fight, creating multiple chances in the final thirty-plus minutes.

Jordan Kitabayashi (Waimea, HI/Waimea) got Chaminade on the board in the 78th minute and his teammates took notice.  Just four minutes later, sophomore Michael Marrs (Wailuku, HI/Baldwin) found the back of the net to make the score 3-2 with eight minutes remaining in regulation.

Back and forth action ensued, and the Seasiders managed to create some breathing room as Aaron Drewery got his second goal of the match in the 85th minute to preserve the 4-2 victory.

Freshman goalkeeper Hayes Sperry (Gulf Breeze, FL/Gulf Breeze) stopped three shots for Chaminade in the first thirty minutes before leaving with back problems. Sophomore Daniel Dartt (Leilehua, HI/Leilehua) came in and stopped one shot the rest of the way.
