HONOLULU, HI- The Swords lost a tough match with the Penguins of Dominican tonight in a rare Sunday night match in McCabe Gym. Chaminade fell in five sets: 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, 15-25 and 11-15.
The hitting percentages tell the story of the match. The Swords won sets one and three, hitting .357 and .324 in those sets, while hitting .100, .065 and .040 in the three set losses. Conversely, Dominican hit .219, .348 and .316 in their victorious sets.

Whitney Viveiros (Hilo, HI/Kamehameha-Kapalama) led the way with 15 kills and 9 digs, while freshman setter
Ka Ua Cale (Waimanalo, HI/Kalaheo) led the Sword attack with 47 assists and 12 digs for Chaminade.
The Swords tied in the dig battle, making it four out of the last five matches where the Swords have tied or won that category. Both Dominican and Chaminade had 49 digs. Silversword outside hitter
Poerava Gantt (Kapaa, HI/Kapaa) had 13 kills and 6 digs, while
Kristy Inamasu (Kahului, HI/Maui) added 9 digs in defeat.
Dominican was led by Jessica Jones with 14 kills. The Silverswords won the block category with 8 blocks to 5 for DUC.
The Swords fall to 2-18 (1-12 PWC) with the loss. Dominican improves to 1-18 (1-9 in PWC). Chaminade is back at home for a match on Tuesday, November 1
