LAIE, HI- Chaminade Men's Soccer continues to look for its first win of the season and despite another close match against undefeated BYU-Hawaii, fell short in a 2-0 defeat this afternoon.
The first half saw Chaminade force the BYU-Hawaii goalkeeper to Josiah Holtz to make two saves, but were unable to put a shot past the Seasider goalie and both teams went to the half without a goal.
Chaminade junior Jon Fukumoto (Mililani, HI/Mililani) forced another save in the 50
th minute that could have put the Swords up 1-0 early on in the second half. A Seasider goal in the 51
st minute put BYU-Hawaii up 1-0. Chaminade freshman
Dayton Sato (Waipahu, HI/ Pearl City) put a shot on goal in the 61
st minute in an effort to tie the score, but another Holtz save kept the Silverswords at bay.
BYU-Hawaii added a goal in the 72
nd minute to secure a 2-0 final.

Bent Jenson led the way for the Seasiders with 3 shots on the match.
With the loss, Chaminade moves to 0-5-1 and BYU-Hawaii moves to 5-0. The Swords are back in action on Saturday, September 24th at 3:30 PM HT at St. Louis Field against Grand Canyon. GCU is 3-2 on the year.
