Box Score HONOLULU, HI – Another chapter in one of the biggest rivalries in the PacWest is in the books. Chaminade and BYU-Hawaii battled this evening in McCabe Gym, with the Seasiders prevailing, 81-63.
The first half entertained a rowdy crowd with back and forth, fast-paced basketball. Chaminade led most of the half, but the 'Siders gained the lead on a Gary Satterwhite basket with just seconds left in the half.
Senior
Matt Cousins (Santa Rosa, CA/Cardinal Newman continued his stellar play, scoring 11 points and adding 5 rebounds in the opening half. Freshman
Lee Bailey (Detroit, MI/Detroit Country Day) added 9 points for the Swords.
CUH shot 47% while BYU-Hawaii shot 45% in the opening half.
The Seasiders got out to a quick start in the second half, leading 59-48 after a Brady Hurst fast-break lay-up. Chaminade cut the lead to five on a
Dominique Cooks (Wollongong, AUS/Holy Spirit) layup, 63-58 with just under six minutes left. It looked to be another classic finish in this Oahu rivalry, but BYU-Hawaii converted opportunities to close out the game, winning 81-63. Chaminade struggled knocking down shots, going 5-28 from three on the contest, for 18%.

Matt Cousins finished with 18 points and 5 rebounds while CUH junior guard
Bennie Murray (Fairfield, CA/Will C. Wood), added 9 points in defeat.
Lee Bailey scored in double figures with 13 points in defeat.
The Swords got out-rebounded 45-31. Chaminade shot 36% from the floor while BYU-Hawaii shot 48% for the contest.
The Seasiders were led by Bracken Funk with 16 points. Five Seasiders scored in double figures.
Chaminade is back at home against Dominican (CA) on February 13th in McCabe Gymnasium. Tip is set for 7:30 PM HT.
With the loss, the Swords move to 9-9, 7-4 in PWC while BYU-Hawaii moves to 12-8, 9-2 in the PWC.
