In the second, Alaska-Anchorage again sprinted out to a large lead, this time a 10-point advantage at 16-6. But similar to the first set, the Swords rallied back as Kapiolani Rapoza put down four kills during a 9-1 run to bring Chaminade to within two points at 19-17. Both teams went back-and-forth down the stretch and CUH trailed only 22-21, but the Seawolves would close things out to win the set and go up 2-oh.
The third set saw UAA jump out to a 10-5 lead before Chaminade came back to tie the set four times toward the end. But Brooke Pottle would wrap up the match for Seawolves as she put down the match's final two kills.
Chaminade was held to a .194 hitting percentage while the Seawolves hit .208. Both teams tallied six total team blocks, but it was 17 hitting errors that doomed the Swords.
