HONOLULU – The Chaminade University women's soccer dropped their third straight decision Monday, a 4-0 setback in a Pacific West Conference game against Dixie State.
Amid humid and hazy conditions at Saint Louis Field, the Red Storm got a hat trick from Jennifer Mason to improve to 4-4-1 overall and 2-1 in the PacWest. Meanwhile, the Silverswords fell to 2-6 and 2-3.
Mason scored the game's first three goals while Erica Gonzalez added another.
The Red Storm attempted 28 shots to the 'Swords' five and none were on goal for the home team.
Keelani Duffey attempted two of Chaminade's shots while the others came from
Twyla Hamasaki,
Tiana Lucas and
Shyann Moriguchi.
Lauren Ishii took the loss while Danica Nusink won her first game as a keeper this season to even her record to 1-1.
The Silverswords will attempt to end their losing streak on Thursday when they host Azusa Pacific, the preseason pick to win the PacWest. Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
