Reeves Named PacWest Player of the Week

IRVINE, Calif. – Chaminade University's Ross Reeves (Orem, Utah/Snow College/Orem HS) on Wednesday was named the Pacific West Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.
 
The redshirt freshman guard totaled 107 points, 11 rebounds, 15 assists and six steals while shooting 56.2 percent from the field in the Silverswords' five-games-in-seven-days stretch. Reeves had three 20-point games including a career-high 34 with seven 3-pointers in Sunday's upset over Saint Martin's, ranked No. 18 in the D2SIDA Media Poll, in the Hoops in Hawai'i Holiday Classic.
 
Reeves hit 41 of 73 shots with 12 triples and also made 13 of his 14 trips to the charity stripe.
 
Entering the Christmas break, he is fourth in the conference in scoring average (18.4), fifth in field goal percentage (50.0), tied for third in 3-pointers made per game (2.8). He also leads the PacWest in free throw percentage at 91.4 (32-of-35).
 
Reeves is Chaminade's 43rd all-time player of the week honoree, the most of any program in PacWest history.
 
The Silverswords resume conference action on Saturday, Dec. 31 at the University of Hawai'i Hilo.
