HONOLULU – The Chaminade University softball team is hosting its 12th Annual Elite Softball Camp which will be held from Saturday, Dec. 17 to Sunday, Dec. 18 at Sand Island Field.

The camp, which is back after being on a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is once again hosted by Silverswords head coach
Kent Yamaguchi and his coaching staff. Also returning is guest clinician University of Washington head coach Heather Tarr, who has guided the Huskies to two Pac-12 Conference championships, 17 regional, 14 super regional and seven Women's College World Series appearances. She will be joined her assistant coach Lance Glasoe and Sis Bates, Washington's all-time hits leader and the 2021 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year.
The camp is open to anyone between the ages of 8 through 18 and costs $130 with pitching sessions at $70.
The first day (Dec. 17) will feature infield and outfield instructions with Coach Tarr along with defensive drills for the different age groups. The second day will have hitting instructions along with base running and offensive instructions. Pitching sessions will be on both days. Campers need to bring their own catcher for the pitching instruction.
