KANSAS CITY – For the seventh consecutive year, the National Basketball Coaches Association (NABC) has recognized the Chaminade University men's basketball team for academic excellence.
The Silverswords were named as a recipient of the NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, which goes to programs that have cumulative grade-point averages of 3.0 or higher during the 2021-22 academic calendar.
The organization also announced the NABC Honors Court, which goes to sophomore, junior, senior and graduate student-athletes who finished the term with GPAs of 3.2 or higher. Eight 'Swords were mentioned on the Honors Court.

Kobe Young (Honolulu/Kamehameha-Kapalama),
Paris Taylor (Bolivar, Tenn./University of Wisconsin Green Bay/Central HS),
Sawyer Storms (Idaho Falls, Idaho/College of Southern Idaho/Idaho Falls HS) and
Zach McIntire (Delaware, Ohio/Mercyhurst University/Delaware Hayes HS).
