NORMAN, Okla. – For the eighth time in the past nine years, the Chaminade University men's golf team was honored with the 2022-23 Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Outstanding Team Academic Award.
The Silverswords were one of 33 Division II programs – and the lone Pacific West Conference team – to earn the All-Academic Team award which goes to teams who have at least a team grade-point average of 3.00 during the 2022-23 academic year.
Chaminade had a team GPA of 3.175 during the season. Florida Southern was the GCAA Division II Academic National Champion with a GPA of 3.854.
A total of 266 men's golf programs across NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA and NJCAA earned the GCAA Outstanding Team Academic Award this year.
